




Fiona is an award-winning journalist and documentary-maker as well as the creator and host of The Doorstep Murder podcast. It reached no 1 in the iTunes UK podcast chart and was nominated for a British Podcast Award.
She worked at the BBC for over twenty years as a news correspondent, investigative reporter and presenter in TV, radio and podcasts. Her investigations for Panorama and BBC Scotland Investigates have exposed abuse and fraud and reflect a strong reputation for integrity and a passion for justice. She filmed, directed, produced and narrated the documentary: "Congo to Motherwell" which won an Amnesty International Award.
From natural disasters to hostile environments, she has spent many years specialising in foreign and social affairs reporting, driven by a commitment to give a voice to those who are heard less often.
Developing her expertise in health journalism, she worked as a BBC Health Correspondent, including during the Covid pandemic.
As co-presenter on David Wilson's Crime Files TV Series for BBC Scotland, she delved into the most significant crimes in Scotland's history and looked at their impact on society today.
Fiona enjoys lecturing for universities and event moderating. As a freelance she has brought her passion for the outdoors into her work for the Scotland Outdoors podcast. She is also a judge for the British Podcast Awards.
